In this Theatre Audio Tech class, we covered different aspects of how audio works in a theatre/venue/entertainment center. We discussed topics ranging from how to use Dante, how to mix a musical, to how to repair XLR and ethernet cables. One of the projects we completed was designing a sound system in Sound Vision to get the best SPL coverage possible and understanding what the space needed to make sure all seats were getting similar experiences. Taking into account different ideas such as speech intelligibility, clarity, reverberation time, inverse square law, and other similar ideas, I created the system to check off all those boxes.
